It is already January 4th but for some reason it feels like today is the first real day of the year.  I suppose it is because it is a Monday and we are all back to work and the kids are back to school.  The “shoes” of the New Year will start to take shape this week.

I was in a kickboxing class on Friday and heard this song.  I really liked the beat and the chorus “Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful” got me thinking about what it means to feel good.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could feel wonderful?  Sometimes the reasons why we don’t are self-inflicted and can be corrected with some direction and effort.

My attitude often hinders me from feeling good.  I get caught up in the “why me?” or the “if only” and suddenly I don’t feel good.  When I think about things I do to help myself feel better I came up with the following:

1.  Listen to a favorite song, music is a great pick me-up!

2.  Exercise - huge in stress relief and, if you look better you feel better

3.  Compliment others – happiness is contagious

4.  Set small goals, aiming high is good but small accomplishments are better

5.  Let go – forgive people and move on.  Holding grudges in life only hurts you.

Enjoy this funky Prince tune and hopefully it will inspires you to do things that help you “feel better, feel good and feel wonderful”

Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful

I agree, the 4th feels like the first "real" day of the year! And as much as I intended to exercise yesterday, it didn't happen. There's always tomorrow!

Thanks so much for stopping by Theta Mom! Glad you did because now I know where to find you!

Hey Cath! Happy New Year!! I personally love #3 b/c it not only makes you feel good but it also automatically makes someone else feel good too. So simple to even just smile at someone or say thank you for something simple and make someone's day. Try it and I bet it will make your day too. ;-)
