Clutter Control Tips – Simplify 101

The theme this week was a bit accidental – it seems as though I have some organization and  clutter goals for 2010! Who doesn’t LOVE a new organization tool?

I know now matter how chaotic life is when things are organized around me I feel much better. I feel like I can handle more on my plate if it is at least an organized plate.  Do you have an organizational tip to share?  Please leave a comment and feel free to share The Shoe Box Daily with a friend!

Love the links above!! My favorite is the one on Simplify 101. I often find myseld saying to put things away in thier 'homes'…..if you take somethng off a shelf it goes back on the shelf where you got it from, i.e. it's 'home.'. Glad I am not crazy in my line of thinking and that others have the same thought. More organizing on the agenda for this week. We are finishing the mudroom. This will be the one stop drop for the kids….coats, shoes, back-packs, etc.. A few more things to pick up as well as other items to keep organizing in the house. So much in fact that a trip to Ikea is in order. Thanks for the great links :)

Loved this line from Clutter Control Tips, "Part of the reason our clutter feels stressful is that it represents lingering indecision", it is so true for me! I loved the Lost Art of Organizing, it really bugs me to "buy stuff to hold my stuff", so I like how she actually suggested creating a disorderly drawer to easily find things without it looking perfect.
